Heads Up, Paper Crafters! Two Must-See Crafting Events

Stampers, scrapbookers, card makers, creators of artist trading cards, book makers and other paper craft artists who are living in or visiting the Pacific Northwest this May will want to take in one or both of these scheduled craft shows. Both of these events cover two days. The first, Puyallup Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival is scheduled for May 16 and 17. Held in the Puyallup Fair and Events Center in northwest Washington State, this annual event includes multiple workshops, classes, make and takes, demonstrations and shopping from a wide range of vendors. The entrance fee charged at the door is $8.00 for both days, or $6 if you go on Sunday only. Classes are extra. The Puyallup event was once dedicated to stamping only. However, since paper artists today tend to work interchangeably with a variety of techniques and products, the organizers have kept up with the changing times and now offer a wide array of media and techniques. The second event, Stamp Out Breast Cancer occurs in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada on May 30 and 31. This two day event is sponsored by I'm Impressed Paper Arts, a stamping and craft store situated in Vancouver's popular Granville Island. The show itself takes place in the Granville Island Hotel. This event features workshops, make and takes, demonstrations, vendors and has among its demonstrators some of the "big names" in the paper crafting industry. The price at the door is $5. Workshops are extra. All proceeds are donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. These are two must-see shows. If you're in the area and you're a paper crafter, you won't want to miss either one.
